About the training scope of this course:
This course covers all you want to know about AC generators, construction, generation principle, rotor and stator design, different brushless excitation systems, and how to control them from the AVR. The course also discusses the alternator ratings, temperature rise, insulation classes, reactances, and dynamic performance characteristics. The course also discusses the different protections of the generator, parallel operation, and reactive capability limits. Other issues like nonlinear load harmonic distortion and motor starting are also covered. Generator sizing for site loads is also presented in detail.
