About this course:
Diesel generators have increasing demand in recent years for standby and prime power applications. You find them everywhere in hospitals, in air traffic control, in data centers, in hotels, etc.
Needless to say, diesel generators are important in all power plants as black start units and, in many cases, as prime power units serving base loads; contractors and consultants used to struggle when it comes to sizing suitable generators for certain load types and for certain load profiles, and when it comes to interpreting specifications and how to customize the diesel generator and make it comply with and meet these specifications. This course will answer these and many other problems that engineers who deal with generators, from design and service to application and operation, face.
